Saturday’s game is big.? It’s a huge emotional win for either team due to the sort-of rivalry that has been created in recent years between these two programs.? But, with that said,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Alabama and Florida fans, if you lose on Saturday, your season is still in tact.? Enjoy the game.
Saturday night, Florida and Alabama will go at it on the gridiron.? The matchup is very exciting and is indeed a big game between the two powers of the SEC.? While I can’t wait for the game and it is a very important game for both teams,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it is arguably not the most important game for either team during this regular season.
It seems fair to say that the SEC East is essentially a two-horse race.? South Carolina has one loss, but most expect Florida to drop at least a game this year which means the head-to-head matchup could easily determine who wins the east.
The reality is that either team can lose this game and be fine.? By fine, I mean they can win their division,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], play for the SEC Championship and potentially the BCS championship.? I would argue that the two most important games for both teams on the 2010 regular season are Florida vs South Carolina and Alabama vs Auburn.? Why??? Because South Carolina and Auburn represent the biggest threats for both teams to winning their respective divisions.
Similarly, Alabama must get by a tough Auburn team.? Yes, LSU is also undefeated, but I’m predicting that LSU doesn’t contend for the western crown like Auburn will.? The Alabama / Auburn game on November 27th could easily determine who wins the west and goes on to play in Atlanta. |
