Her ‘X-rated’ picture was part of a Dear Cancer fundraising exhibition she organised near her Oxfordshire home last month.
‘I am really upset and angry about this,’ said fellow Dear Cancer model Deb Hunt, 45,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], from Oxford. ‘The fact that Facebook has called it offensive makes it sound like women with breast cancer are offensive.’
He said: “While Anna’s cause is a worthy one,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with over 500million users we have to put in place a set of universal guidelines. The image was removed because it contains nudity – not because of the nature of the nudity in question. We will however be reviewing our policy in this area in future.’
A spokesman for the website said he was unsure if the images had been removed as a result of a complaint or had been detected by censorship software.
The 43-year-old was left ‘dumbfounded’ last night when she realised the social networking site had removed her photo.
‘When you’ve got cancer and you lose your hair,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], people stare at you with disgust and pity. I want to take away the fear people have.’
Cancer patients were asked to pose for black and white pictures ‘to prove the disease could not rob them of their beauty or bravery’ yet half their pictures were also removed from Mrs Antell’s Facebook album.

‘That particular image is my scar. It’s not showing breasts or anything like that. It’s not like it’s a woman sunbathing topless. |
